Plan Your Adventure At The Adventure Travel Show

A bit of help will be on hand at the upcoming Adventure Travel Show for aspirant adventurers looking to plot out their first big trip.

The Adventure Travel Show is packed with inspirational travel advice, travel photography and travel writing seminars, and a whole host of FREE talks from experts, explorers, TV adventurers, tour leaders and guide book writers who will help you uncover your perfect adventure. Plus, the best specialist travel operators will be on hand to offer guidance on everything from walking and trekking to exploratory journeys, safaris, overland trips, life-changing volunteering projects and much, much more.

Also, the show, held at London’s Olympia on January 25-26, will feature a series of specialist Adventure Planning Seminars, aimed at people who want to gain a better understanding about organising their own expeditions.

Fronted by experienced adventure travellers Duncan Milligan, Tom Freemantle and Austin Vince, the sessions will cover the many challenges and pitfalls that might be encountered on a far-flung journey, and how to best deal with them. This expert panel of expedition planners, who all have years of on-ground experience in many different and varied forms of travel, will offer guidance on preparation and logistics to ensure you get the most out of your self-organised adventure.

There will be four seminar sessions throughout The Adventure Travel Show, each following the same structure – please see www.adventureshow.com for more details. Seminar tickets are £50 in advance and seminars are limited to 25 people per session.

For those looking for help in funding their newly planned expeditions, it’s also worth remembering that The Adventure Fund’s deadline for applications is fast approaching.

The Adventure Fund, in association with Sidetracked Magazine, is an annual grant established to support individuals or groups who display a creative and innovative approach towards adventurous travel and expeditioning.
