The North Face Mountain Festival announced
 

The inaugural The North Face Mountain Festival will be held at the foot the Eiger in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland, from September 16-18, 2016.

The weekend will be packed with a range of activities including hiking, climbing, train running, all guided by The North Face athletes. There is also the chance to try additional activities such as rafting, canyoning and paragliding.

The festival caters for all levels from novice to advanced with a range from introductory and challenging activities. Expert mountain guides and athletes will be on hand offering basecamp workshops and talks including inspiring stories of exploration, outdoor cinema, adventure photography and expedition kit prep. There will also be the chance to experience paragliding or rafting, and perhaps attempt to summit the Eiger alongside one of the The North Face athletes.

By night, festivalgoers can enjoy live music, outdoor cinema screenings and enjoy fresh local meals in the geodesic banqueting hall. There is also the chance to recuperate at the in-forest spa, offering a range of relaxing activities.

Tickets are available now for €157.64 and include a camping spot, meals from Friday evening to Sunday morning, hiking, trail running and climbing activities, basecamp workshops and talks, plus evening entertainment. Additional activities including alpinism, rafting, bungee jumping, canyoning and paragliding are not included in the ticket price.
