The world’s premier mountain festival, celebrating all aspects of outdoor culture including film, literature and art, will be sharing this year’s news & highlights online for the very first time.
Kendal Mountain Festival in partnership with Blacks Outdoor has teamed up with Sidetracked Magazine – one of the UK’s leading adventure publications – to produce daily video reports, interviews and profiles during the event itself. All hosted on the publication’s new platform: Sidetracked TV.
Speaking about the move, KMF Director Steve Scott said: ‘We’re delighted to announce a key partnership with Sidetracked TV at this year’s Kendal Mountain Festival.
This new initiative will enable Festival goers and a wider online audience to connect with latest news, see on the fly interviews and tap into the buzz that surrounds KMF, all provided by such a high quality team.’
Sidetracked’s founder John Summerton added: ‘I’m so excited that Sidetracked are partnering with the Kendal Mountain Festival to produce this series. We share the same passion for inspiring adventure and to be able to work together to broaden the reach of this unique festival is incredible.’
As a new channel to its already successful website and print mediums, Sidetracked TV features regular news reports and features from the world of adventure, as well as exhibiting some of the best work from emerging outdoor filmmakers all across the world.
‘Year after year the good and the great from all areas of the mountain and outdoor world come to Kendal,’ said Sidetracked Editor Jamie Bunchuk, ‘We hope our reports on their work will fill all those who can’t attend (and perhaps even those who do) with a bit of warming inspiration for the coming winter.’
The 2014 Kendal Mountain Festival will be held on the 20 – 23 of November 2014. For tickets and information, visit mountainfest.co.uk
