A stunning new video marks the relaunch of MBWales.com

Wales is to cement its position as a world-class centre for mountain biking with a relaunched website offering all the tools, resources and inspiration to enjoy what the trails of Wales have to offer.

MBWales.com has undergone a complete rebranding with a new website featuring route maps and downloads for trail centres and natural trails throughout the country. The routes can be easily found by grade, distance or location. There’s also interactive mapping to help find amenities for the trip; the best accommodation, food and drink, the best mountain bike guides, coaches, bike hire and mechanics. Funded through Visit Wales’ Tourism Product Innovation Fund, the project has been managed by Denbighshire County Council on behalf of the MBWales group.

To launch the new website MBWales commissioned Chris Davies and his team at Eastwood Media to make a film with the brief to showcase Wales as a destination for Mountain Biking. The team have worked hard to capture some of the best parts of the country visiting trail centres and natural trails. In keeping with Visit Wales’ Year of Adventure 2016, the film follows a number of adventures across a day in Wales. Eastwood Media are licensed for aerial filming and have used their drones to capture Wales from above. The whole film is produced in 4k ultra high-definition.

Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism, Ken Skates, said: “The launch of the new look MBWales website is an exciting addition to the Year of Adventure and will showcase the fantastic mountain bike trails we have in Wales and makes searching for a Mountain Biking holiday in Wales very easy – it’s a one stop shop for Mountain Biking.”
