Trail Running on the Isle of Skye

A film by James O’Garra // Photography by James Carnegie  // Featuring Jamie Ramsey

This adventure was conceived in a local library, where two tattered OS maps of Northern and Central Skye led James Carnegie and film-maker and old school friend Jim to some of the most surreal and stunning scenery (not to mention weather) either of them had ever shot in. Accompanied by long distance runner Jamie Ramsay and a couple of friends they set out with no intention other than to explore Skye’s most breathtaking running trails and capture it on camera.

‘We were blown away. Skye is a paradise for anyone connected to the outdoors in search of wilderness, signs of nature’s forces and the majestic landscapes that Scotland’s Highlands are famous for. The experience was incredible, so much so that where would we go from here? Back to the library perhaps…’ – James Carnegie
